It is not the furniture for local folk, but for the emperor, concubine, and royal family in the palace during Qing Dynasty. The throne is often placed in the middle of the hall, with a screen partition behind it.
The throne armchair style originated from the QianLong period of the Qing Dynasty. It is inherited the Ming Style, widely absorbed a variety of arts and crafts techniques as well as with the appreciation of the ruling class, which laid the foundation for the furniture style of the Qing Dynasty.
