清代扶手椅中有一种外形硕大的椅子，俗称“宝座”。宝座有一人坐制，也有两人同时坐的式样。它不是民间的家具，而是宫廷中供皇帝，后妃和皇室使用的。宝座常常放在大堂中间， 后面配屏风而使用。

Among the armchairs of the Qing Dynasty, there is a huge chair, commonly known as the “Throne”. There is a system for one person to sit on the throne, and there is also a style for two people to sit at the same time. It is not the furniture for local folk, but for the emperor, concubine, and royal family in the palace during Qing Dynasty. The throne is often placed in the middle of the hall, with a screen partition behind it.

这宝座款式出于清朝隆年间，继承了明式风格，广泛吸收了多种工艺美术手法，再加上统治阶级的行赏趣味，于是家具风格为之一变，为清代家具风格奠定了基础。

The throne armchair style originated from the QianLong period of the Qing Dynasty. It is inherited the Ming Style, widely absorbed a variety of arts and crafts techniques as well as with the appreciation of the ruling class, which laid the foundation for the furniture style of the Qing Dynasty.
