檀香木出产地- 印度，是其中一个珍稀濒危保护植物。其木材最有吸引力之处是散发出独特幽香，表面显现活泼多变的纹理似如鬼脸。由于在明代与清代过量采伐，还有树种生长缓慢，因此其价格不断的上涨。檀香木可抗白蚁，不受天气变化而开裂。
